Shaping the City | Chicago
Following the success of the two Venetian editions of Shaping the City, the European Cultural Centre is organizing, in collaboration with the Chicago Architecture Biennial, the first edition in Chicago which will take place on 10th December 2021 at the Chicago Cultural Center. David Brown the artistic director of the Chicago Architecture Biennial will be the keynote speaker and will inaugurate the in-person forum, followed by presentations of international participants.

Time Space Existence Closing Event
The ECC team organised Time Space Existence Closing Event at Palazzo Mora and live-streamed it online on the ECC YouTube channel on Sunday 21st November. On this occasion, the European Cultural Centre announced the ECC Awards for the categories of Architecture, Design Innovation, University Project, and Art Installation. Additionally, the ECC Photography team also presented the limited edition publication on architectural photography titled ‘N-D Narrative Dimension‘.

Blurring the Lines: Ethical shifts in photography
The 3rd edition of the international Blurring the Lines conference titled “Ethical Shifts in Photography” was held on 19th and 20th November in Palazzo Michiel and streamed online on the ECC Youtube channel. Members of Blurring the Lines’s Committee and some of the speakers were in Venice and invited the public to join the network with a small aperitif at the end of the conference day.

For the second time during the exhibition Time Space Existence, the European Cultural Centre organised the conference “Shaping the City: A Forum for Sustainable Cities and Communities”. It included renowned architectural schools and universities from across the globe presented in Time Space Existence 2021 along with international institutions and architecture studios.
